Before Ms. Nakada did attendance we got time to do our Createtober. Ms. Nakada took attendance. We listened to a youtube video about stress and how we can reduce it. We watched a video called “My Papi Has A Motorcycle” by Isabel Quintero. We took an AR quiz, and she let us leave.

  Agenda Welcome to English 8! Syllabus First Day Letter HW: course outline signed / letters home due Sunday Hey Period 6! This will be a space where everyday a different student will capture what happens in class and read their blog the next day. This is our blog and my version of what we did on Friday.  Everyone logged into our Zoom class and as people came in, we changed names and pronouns to let everyone know what we want to be called.  I took attendance, and I was glad to see that I knew most of you already from sixth and seventh grade. In Ms. Nakada's class she took attendance. Then, we corrected a students blog. After that, we did Jamboard. Then, we listened to a song called "Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story?" from Hamilton. Once we were done listening to the song, Ms. Nakada told us what was the song about. After that, we were reading Inside Out and Back Again . Then, we were put into break out rooms and read one poem. Once we were done with all of that, Ms. Nakada gave us information about our homework that was due Friday, January 29th. After that, class ended.
