Blog for Wednesday

Hello, sixth period English! The first thing we did in class was attendance. After that, we looked at the Jamboard and saw the quote of the week, “Poetry is not a luxury. It is a vital necessity to our existence" by Audre Lorde.

Next, we discussed the question of the week: Who/what defines who you are?

Then, we listened to our song of the week, "Freedom" by Beyonce and featuring Kendrick Lamar. 

We read the poem, “Before” by Ada Limón.

We wrote two poems. 

The last thing we did was work in literature circle groups.
